Privacy Policy

Plain-English summary: we collect what we need to quote and do your move and to run and improve our business, we use it to contact you about your job, we don’t sell it, and you can ask us to delete it any time.

Who we are

Up Down & Around (“UDA”, “we”) provides internal moving and labor help across the counties around Atlanta. This policy covers the information you give us when you request a booking on this website.

What we collect

• Contact details — your first name, email, and phone number.
• Job address — the street, city, state and ZIP where the move happens.
• Job details — your description of what needs moving.
• Photos & videos you choose to upload of the items and spaces to be moved (we ask you to capture just those — not other people, documents or mail).
• Booking info — the day and window you request, and the status of your request.
• Technical data — your IP address and browser info, saved with your consent record (and, if you accept a quote online, an acceptance record with a timestamp), plus limited analytics described below.

Why we collect it

First and foremost, we use your information to quote your job, contact you to confirm and schedule it, and carry out the move. Your photos and videos are used to prepare an accurate quote and to plan the job — they are not published or shared publicly without your separate permission.

We also keep a record of jobs and what they were priced at, and use this business data — job details, areas we serve, and our own pricing notes — for analytics and to improve our pricing over time, including building tools (such as an assisted quoting model) that help us price jobs faster and more consistently. When we use data this way we work from the job’s features — things like item counts, floors, distance and item types — and strip out personal identifiers like your name and exact street address; we do not use your uploaded interior photos to train any such tool. We never sell your data.

Contacting you

When you submit a booking you agree we can contact you by phone, text message, or email about that request. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of texts by replying STOP, or ask us to stop contacting you at any time — it won’t affect a job already in progress.

How it’s stored and shared

Your details and media are stored with our booking and hosting providers (for example Supabase and Vercel) on our behalf. We do not sell your information. We share it only with the people carrying out your job (Gary and any helper on that job), and where we’re legally required to.

Analytics & cookies

To understand how the site is used and where visitors get stuck — so we can make booking easier — we use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights), which measure page views and performance without cookies and without identifying you personally.

We may also use, when enabled, Google Analytics and PostHog (product analytics) and Microsoft Clarity (heatmaps and session replay, which records anonymized on-page interactions like clicks and scrolling to show where the flow is confusing). These tools may set cookies or similar identifiers. Where session replay is on, it is configured to mask what you type— names, phone numbers, addresses and job details are not recorded. We use these only to improve the site, never to sell your data, and you can block them with your browser’s cookie and “Do Not Track” settings or a tracker blocker.

We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The only email we send about your job goes through Resend, our email provider, on our behalf.

How long we keep it

For quote requests and bookings that don’t go ahead, we automatically delete the photos and videos you uploaded within 90 days — an automated job removes them on a daily schedule once they pass that window. For jobs we actually carry out, we keep the photos and the booking record longer — to document the work agreed and done and to meet our legal and tax obligations — then delete or anonymize them. You can ask us to delete your details and media sooner at any time.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, and to stop contacting you. Contact us and we’ll take care of it. Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under Georgia or U.S. law.

Children

This site and our services are for adults. By booking you confirm you’re 18 or older. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
